, global experts assembled by Amgen Biosimilars discussed many of the changes in medicine brought about by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). They noted that government has stepped up its involvement in the development of medicine, innovator companies have discovered they may not have all the answers, and flaws in the health system in responding to the pandemic have pointed out opportunities for reform. However, they also noted many powerful trends that have emerged, many of them positive, which they said may lead to a more global approach to solving problems.
